Rise is on the lookout for a collaborative Finance Manager who stays steady under pressure and enjoys turning complexity into clarity. You'll share the role with another Finance Manager, each with allocated responsibilities and some tasks (especially those tied to month‑end timing) shared and coordinated between you both.
This position is part‑time (45.6 hours per fortnight). We need you on Wednesdays and Thursdays plus one crossover day with the other Finance Manager (ideally Tuesday, though Monday or Friday can work too). You'll be based at our Helen's Place office in Middle Swan, with flexibility for hybrid work from home.
What you'll be doing
* Delivering accurate and meaningful internal financial reporting to help Rise make smart decisions.
* Keeping us aligned with external funding, compliance and regulatory requirements, transparency is everything.
* Maintaining and strengthening internal financial controls, governance processes and policies.
* Leading our engagement with external auditors (with kindness, clarity and good prep).
* Managing strong, reliable relationships with our banking partners.
* Assisting in recruiting, developing and supporting finance team members if required.
* Championing organisational change and supporting your team through transition.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications & Expertise
* CPA/CA highly desirable, or relevant work‑related experience.
* Strong background in financial management, compliance and reporting.
* Experience leading and developing staff.
* Solid understanding of not‑for‑profit finance and funding models.
Technical Skills
* Confident using MS Office for communication and documentation.
* Advanced knowledge of mid‑to‑large ERPs (ideally Dynamics 365 F&O).
* Strong understanding of GL, reporting, fixed assets and financial controls.
* Excellent Excel capability (analysis, reconciliations, automation, financial statements).
* High‑quality written communication and clear, confident verbal communication.
* Proven leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to build effective, cohesive teams.
* Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
* High integrity, ethical leadership and accountability.
Ways of Working
* Highly analytical with strong problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, delegate well and set realistic priorities.
