Our federal government client is seeking Network and Security Engineers with NV1 clearance or higher.
This position is available in ACT, SA, and VIC. Please note that sponsorship for security clearance cannot be provided.
The estimated start date is November, with an initial contract of 12 months, including two potential 12-month extensions.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in a cyber security role.
Network Security Engineer
The Network Security Engineer will plan, implement, and operate network services and systems, including hardware and virtual environments. Responsibilities include testing and maintaining network infrastructure, providing feedback on network requirements, and assessing complex information systems using contemporary security frameworks, tools, and knowledge of malicious actor techniques. The role involves collaborating on critical infrastructure systems and advising on system hardening and defense against advanced threats.
* Assess various network systems and configurations for cybersecurity issues.
* Conduct workshops, utilize assessment tools, and review system documentation and configurations.
* Provide detailed recommendations to enhance network cybersecurity.
Security Engineer
The Security Engineer will implement, manage, and retire infrastructure supporting digital services, including physical, virtual, networking, and cloud environments.
* Assess a wide range of systems for cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
* Conduct workshops and assessments to gather necessary information about the environment.
* Recommend remediation strategies for cybersecurity issues.
