$51 p/h+ superannuation + salary sacrifice Part-time (60 hrs per fortnight) Fixed-term position About the role: Are you passionate about creating inclusive, culturally safe spaces for young people?
Do you have experience leading service delivery and youth engagement strategies that empower diverse communities?
headspace Emerald is seeking a Youth Diversity and Inclusion Lead to champion culturally responsive and inclusive practices across our service.
This role will focus on enhancing support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) youth, and sexuality and gender diverse (LGBTIQA+) communities.
What will a typical day look like?
Lead the development and implementation of a Youth Peer Practice Framework that supports safe, inclusive, and empowering service delivery.
Guide staff in trauma-informed, strength-based approaches with a recovery focus for priority populations.
Design and evaluate community engagement strategies and health promotion activities tailored to diverse youth.
Review service delivery practices to ensure alignment with headspace's standards, contracts, and accreditation requirements.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and community partners to support collaborative, culturally inclusive service models.
Support continuous improvement through feedback, audits, training, and policy development.
Mandatory Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Social or Behavioural Sciences, Social Work or Psychology (or related discipline) or an equivalent combination of education, training and a minimum of 3-years relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in developing, leading and supporting youth peer practice at a service or organisational level Demonstrated commitment to the health and human rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and sexuality and gender diverse (LGBTIQA+) young people and communities and a deep understanding of the issues experienced.

What you will bring to the role: A passion and genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of Central Queenslanders.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
The ability to identify and embed solutions.
Demonstrated experience working within a high-performance framework where you are accountable for KPIs on program delivery and outcomes, within a face-paced solutions focussed environment.
Effective time management and organisational skills.
A strong communicator, able to quickly build rapport and influence across a diverse range of people.
