Our client is an award-winning family business with over 120 motivated employees. They are a leading manufacturer and installer of outdoor leisure products with offices located in Bendigo, Swan Hill, Geelong, Adelaide, Brisbane and their head office in Dandenong South.
Due to business growth, we have 2 Permanent full-time positions for experienced drivers who will be based out of Bendigo and Swan Hill. Our drivers will have the luxury of cabin air-conditioning. You will be driving modern well-maintained fleet of heavy vehicles predominately across Victoria.
Key responsibilities for the position include but not limited to:
* Monitoring, maintaining and timely reporting of vehicle performance and defects
* Delivering products in accordance with procedures
* Driving in accordance to road and weather conditions
* Following the most efficient and permissible route of travel
* Deliver products and materials to destinations, unload materials and complete required paperwork
* Manage logs and records as per company requirements
* Deliver loads with good attention to customer service and safety
* Adhere to laws on commercial vehicle operation as per Federal, State and local authorities.
Requirements for the position include:
* HC license and experience
* Excellent defensive driving skills and safety record
* Valid driver’s license for the respective vehicle types (min 2-3 years, or close to)
* Thorough knowledge of transport regulations
* A sound knowledge of fatigue management requirements
* Experience with use of built in truck cranes is preferred
