The Inventory Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in stock reconciliations, GRIR management, and month‑end processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily and weekly stock accounting tasks and assist with ad‑hoc inventory issues.
- Prepare and analyse inventory reports and reconciliations between multiple systems.
- Manage GRIR (Goods Received/Invoice Received) processes and ensure timely resolution.
- Liaise with distribution centres and the supply chain to verify inventory accuracy.
- Support month‑end reporting and assist with financial audits.
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve inventory accounting processes.
- CPA / CA qualification or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in retail, FMCG, or manufacturing.
- Proven experience in inventory accounting and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in SAP (medium to advanced level)–essential.
- Robust Excel skills (medium to advanced) for reporting and analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
