We seek Social Games Leaders passionate about games and pop culture to lead those with disabilities in a cooperative online games environment featuring social activities. Applicants with retail or hospitality experience may also apply. Anyone with a second year or beyond in Psychology, Education, or similar fields is strongly encouraged to apply.
You will receive training and attend sessions online (between 3 and 12 hours per week) from your home computer. Your PC/Laptop/Mac must have the capacity to load most AAA titles. A standard gaming computer is sufficient.
Successful applicants must authentically enjoy online gaming, possess high level people skills and social fluidity, have sound soft skills, a compassionate approach to others, a high degree of patience, and an ability to interact smoothly with people with a range of disabilities. They should be comfortable working in a friendly, collegial environment.
Responsibilities
* Play games the participants want to play with them.
* Take notes on participants' behaviour and write recommendations for improvement.
* Facilitate a safe, inclusive environment.
* Encourage social connection and engagement.
* Support players with game setup and session management.
* Uphold Lightmare Studio's values.
* Communicate effectively with staff and clients.
* Support other staff in their service delivery.
You need to be available to work at least two or three times per week, preferably more. We are growing rapidly, so more sessions and work hours will become available soon.
DND Dungeon Master experience is highly regarded.
