Project Coordinator Role
Tonkin is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to support our national team in delivering successful project outcomes. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving planning, coordination, and control functions across multiple projects.
About the Job
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in integrated project controls, including cost management, scheduling, and risk coordination. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure that projects remain on track, on budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and Maintain Project Schedules: Create detailed project schedules using MS Project, including milestones, task dependencies, and resource planning.
* Track Progress: Monitor progress against project baselines and provide regular performance updates to project managers and stakeholders.
* Cost Estimation and Budget Tracking: Support cost estimation, budget tracking, and financial forecasting across multiple projects.
* Risk Management: Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk.
* Change Control: Support change control processes by capturing scope changes and evaluating their impacts.
* Risk Identification: Assist in identifying risks and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
* Project Documentation: Develop and maintain project documentation, dashboards, and structured reporting tools.
* Project Closeout: Support project closeout activities by ensuring final deliverables, reporting, and documentation are completed accurately.
About You
* Tertiary Qualification: A tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Project Experience: At least 3-5 years' experience in a project controls, project scheduling, or project coordination role, ideally in a consulting environment.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and Excel.
* Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with high attention to detail.
* Communication Skills: Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
* Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
