Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor Core Talent Renewable Energy Division has partnered with a major EPC Contractor delivering renewable energy solutions across Australia. They have a flagship Solar Farm / BESS project in Victoria and are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong leadership skills and mechanical expertise to contribute significantly to the construction and maintenance of a cutting-edge renewable energy facility.
Key Responsibilities Supervise subcontractors and site trades, fostering collaboration and alignment with project goals. Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met or exceeded. Assist with site logistics, including resource allocation and equipment management. Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. Collaborate with Mechanical Superintendent, engineers, QA/QC teams, and stakeholders for seamless project execution. Liaise with local authorities, suppliers, and community stakeholders to promote positive relationships. Provide detailed progress reports to the Mechanical Superintendent, highlighting achievements and addressing challenges. Supervise mechanical installations and maintenance activities from initial site preparation to final commissioning. Monitor mechanical work progress and ensure compliance with schedules. Guide and support mechanical trades personnel to meet performance targets. Conduct inspections and quality control checks on all mechanical installations and systems. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in construction or industrial sectors. Proven mechanical trade background (e.g., Fitter, Machinist, or similar). Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and installations. Leadership skills to motivate and manage a team of mechanical tradespeople. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to safety. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work on-site in a remote environment. Availability to work on a 3/1 DIDO roster. Desirable Qualifications Full Australian work rights. Experience with large-scale construction or renewable energy projects, especially solar. Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
