The role of a Service Engineer involves performing service, after-sales, and warranty work on Simrad branded products across global operational installations. This includes supervising and leading installations, providing onboard training to captains and crew, and ensuring world-class service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate exceptional service skills by delivering high-quality services to customers.
* Lead and supervise installations to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain technical knowledge of Kongsberg Discovery products to provide expert advice and support.
* Ensure seamless installations and commissioning to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
* Provide proactive service and support to handle both scheduled and emergency service jobs.
* Communicate effectively with customers, service coordinators, and technical advisors to resolve issues promptly.
Your Role Involves:
* Follow standard operating procedures to execute activities efficiently.
* Handle customer inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Work collaboratively with the team to achieve common goals and objectives.
* Participate in continuous learning to stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant education in Mechatronics, Electronics, Engineering, Technical College, Service Electronics Technician, or Ship's Electrician.
* Product knowledge is an advantage but not required.
* PC knowledge (Windows) is essential.
* Well-written and spoken English and Mandarin are required.
* Past working experience in an international setup will be an added advantage.
