A Tier 1 global wealth management advisory firm is seeking an experienced candidate to manage a team of Associate Advisers and provide front office and risk support to the business in their Sydney office.
As part of the client-facing Advisory team including the Front Office support team, Investment Advisers and Adviser Assistants, this is a broad role providing support to the Chief of Staff, and National Adviser Assistant Manager in Melbourne, as well as supporting the National front office risk manager and the Associates in Sydney office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leading, mentoring, training, recruitment and onboarding the Associate Advisers in the Sydney office
- Enhancing procedures and processes for the Associates
- Supporting the First Line risk activities such as maintenance of risk and control registers, and incident management
- Maintain client advice processes and documentation
- Assist with Front office Remediation projects
- Front office support, onboarding advisers to the business
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role within Stockbroking / Wealth Management sector – ideally with prior Dealer Assistant / Associate adviser experience, combined with some risk, KYC, Admin support and / or team leading etc.
- RG146 accreditation or equivalent
Experience and Competencies Desired:
- Degree qualified in finance or related disciplines desirable.
- Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Client experience an advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication with an ability to influence.
- Resourceful, self-starter with high work standards and willingness to learn.
- Strong Microsoft office skills – including Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy with a focus on compliance.
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills, able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
