The role

The Project Officer will be responsible for ensuring the business and financial support services are delivered efficiently and effectively in accordance with the strategic directions and operational requirements of Patient Safety and Quality (PSQ), CEQ. Additionally, this role will support and contribute to the provision of high-quality communication, promotion, education and marketing of PSQ tools, resources and support services to enable enhanced health service delivery.

Key responsibilities:

- Proactively provide effective coordination of high-level business and administrative functions, including human resources, procurement, correspondence, travel and accounts payable/receivable processing.
- Develop, Coordinate and support standard business and administrative procedures ensuring systems are effectively communicated and applied across the Branch.
- Monitor and report that efficient financial records management is maintained for the Branch by providing support for budget preparation and monitoring of expenditure.
- Identify and support the implementation and review of strategies, systems, processes, procedures and practices for continuous improvement across the Branch.
- Administrative skills of a high standard including the use of Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint), templates, electronic databases, record and diary management systems.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

- Knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of business and purchasing policies and procedures and relevant information systems and to apply this in a large complex public sector service delivery organisation.
- Proven ability to process and manage high level business administration tasks and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders regarding the same.
- Problem-solving skills to facilitate continuous improvement in work processes in collaboration with a team, ensuring effective performance and outcomes for the Branch.
- Knowledge or skills (or the ability to acquire these) in communications and marketing techniques including web design and publishing.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a range of activities and projects with conflicting timeframes and deadlines.
