What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in Paediatrics, you’ll provide individualised care to children and their families, ensuring excellent outcomes within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. You will use your clinical expertise, communication skills and compassionate approach to meet the needs of young patients while contributing to a culture of safety and respect.
- Deliver efficient and effective person-centred paediatric care
- Respond to changing patient needs and delegate appropriately
- Support safe discharge planning with accurate referrals
- Mentor and supervise staff and students in the clinical setting
- Advocate for patients and families while managing resources effectively

Essential Criteria :
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria :
- Demonstrated experience in Paediatric Nursing and evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintain competence and enhancement of skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice and its contribution to changing practice and policies within the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure patients, carers, and families are well informed, engaged and confident about their care and treatment, within the scope of a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and communication skills, whilst effectively following directions.
