Executive Officer, People & Culture - $163,604 per annum + 11.5% superannuation - Full time, ongoing opportunity - Wadawurrung/Geelong based role (hybrid work from home - 3 days a week in office)
**About the opportunity**
The Executive Officer (EO), People and Culture (P&C;) is a key position at WorkSafe that supports the strategic leadership, planning, and delivery of the P&C; Business Unit. The EO supports the Executive Director (ED), People & Culture in ensuring the strategy, plans, and programs across P&C; are aligned to the delivery and execution of the WorkSafe Strategy and Purpose.
In addition to providing high-level counsel, guidance and support to the ED, and supporting emerging strategic people projects, this position leads a range of strategic corporate functions for P&C; including; strategy development and business planning processes, budget establishment and monitoring, risk and obligations management, and oversight of governance and compliance.
**Key Accountabilities**
Manage the executive operations of the Office of the ED, including recommendations and decisions on complex and confidential matters, management and oversight of ED communications with key business partners and stakeholders
Lead P&C;'s internal and external reporting requirements, including to the Board, Board sub-committees and the Executive Group Meeting. Authoring and editing communications to demonstrate compliance, achievement of strategic outcomes, influence enterprise-wide solutions, and communicate P&C;'s outcomes in alignment to WorkSafe's strategy
Provide strategic advice to the ED and to the P&C; Senior Leadership team (SLT) through the identification of innovative solutions, to problem solve emerging and topical high risk and sensitive matters, considering the implications of decisions and actions

**About you**
To be successful in the Executive Officer role, you will have expert communication and interpersonal skills as well as advanced writing skills, including the ability to prepare concise briefing documents, reports and communications. Your organisation skills will be second to none and you will have a deep understanding of the operating environment of a complex organisation such as WorkSafe Victoria.
You will be a critical thinker with strong initiative and demonstrated experience to collaborate at a high level, including senior and executive leaders. A background in People & Culture is desirable but not mandatory.
