The Shire of Carnamah is in search of a highly motivated, experienced and professional local government senior executive with proven capacity to carry out the functions of a Manager of Works and Services. The Shire has comprehensive works and public places construction and works programs that require a manager of people and projects with a strong understanding of community and commitment to Work, Health and Safety.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful applicant will be an innovative thinker, provide leadership and people management as well as provide general, technical and specialist guidance/advice to Council, executive management, Shire employees and varied external stakeholders. Experience in managing/overseeing local government civil works programs is essential. The right person will have a genuine ability to supervise staff and contractors in a team environment.
Position details
The position is offered under a performance-based contract of between 3–5-years, with a total package of between $183,780 and $207,180 (salary range of between $110,000 and $130,000) depending on qualifications and experienc[e].
