Join the Stockland Halcyon construction team in this Senior Leading Hand position, based at our Serrata project site in Burpengary East.
Working alongside the Site Supervisor, you'll be involved in planning, managing and delivering multiple homes on time and within budget, ensuring compliance with quality standards and legislative requirements.
About the role
A great opportunity for those looking to expand their residential construction experience, managing daily activities of Leading Hands and Labourers, maintaining site safety and presentation, and building strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.
* Undertake and delegate works required by Stockland Halcyon that do not always form part of a trade specific scope of works
* Complete daily updates and input relevant sign offs into the construction program
* Complete the required site safety audits and attend at a minimum one external safety audit per month
* Inspect and complete any requested hold point quality checklists
* Take requested homebuyer update and construction stage photos (including the uploading to Onsite)
* Train and develop Leading Hands and Labourers
* Meet homebuyers at pre-settlement inspection, ensuring all items identified in this inspection are completed prior to new home handover
About you
* Tertiary and/or trade qualification in building or construction related discipline, ie: carpentry
* Experience as a Leading Hand in a residential construction environment preferably
* Must hold a current white card
* Hold a current First Aid Certificate or a refresher can be arranged
* Up-to-date knowledge on safety, building standards and codes
* Demonstrated experience in managing subcontractors and trade service providers
