About the role
The Audit Manager will lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse client base at our RSM Adelaide office.
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing audit teams, reviewing workpapers, and acting as a primary point of contact for clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues;
* Performs reviews of audit work;
* Reviews of financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and preparation of reports and opinions to management;
* Summarises the key areas of the engagement for the partner;
* Ensures completion of each assignment to a high quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines;
* Conducting various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit;
* Together with partner negotiates fees and demonstrates commercial responsibility for profitability of each client;
* Contributes to meetings and is able to make effective presentations to staff and clients;
* Assisting with management and co-ordination of the audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance;
* Monitors staffing requirements and future resource planning issues; and
* Assists partners in business development and marketing activities.
About you
* 5-7 years' experience audit experience
* Strong communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong prioritising skills
* Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Detailed working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation
