Position: Design Manager
Salary: up to $230k + bonus

Location: Sydney
Design & Build have partnered with a leading EPC business on some of Australia's key energy transition projects, think multi-million dollar development involving solar, BESS & transmission & substations.
This is an Australian business has doubled their renewable energy portfolio in the last 2 years and is hiring key people in leadership positions to continue the growth. Are you one of them?
Key responsibilities for the Design Manager:
* Design management: Leading a multidisciplinary design team to deliver the high-quality technical project on time.
* Stakeholder management: Liaising with client, internal and external teams, and construction to ensure alignment and integration of design solutions.
* Cost management: Monitoring and controlling design expenditures using robust tracking systems to optimise budgets and prevent overruns.
* Design governance: Ensuring all deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards through effective QA processes.
* Technical oversight: Directing primary & secondary design, conducting design reviews, and collaborating with external consultants on electrical studies.
What you'll bring:
* Proven experience as a Design Manager similar on major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations).
* Primary design engineering experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)
* CPEng or working towards it
* Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g. Engineers Australia)
