Join the Advanced Materials & Battery Council (AMBC) as their General Manager in a fully flexible position to grow their membership.

**_Your Opportunity:_**

We've partnered with the Advanced Materials & Battery Council (AMBC) to provide them with a General Manager who will accelerate their standing in the Australian market.

Brisbane is the recognized center of a fast-growing battery industry and this NFP member association has been created to benefit developing and proven members that participate in the domestic market. Their purpose is threefold to drive the industry foreword; provide informed output on a variety of issues that affect the battery industry, create more business opportunities for their members through networking events, and educate the workforce on various resources and developments to the public and industry alike.

With hundreds of millions of dollars in recent funding already secured for the State and Federal Government for the critical mineral and battery industry to secure its proposed growth trajectory and the AMBC is now seeking a tenured individual who can be a genuine representative and in turn drive significant growth in the Council and look to support the maturation of the industry in turn.

Your role will be pivotal to growing their membership, acting on behalf of the Council and not for individuals, act as a coordinator for networking events, lead engagement with various CEO's of private and public companies who are proponents of various critical mineral and battery projects, engage with various Government bodies, develop key relationships across various business types including suppliers and consultants to the industry and Government Departments, and be at the center of this rapidly developing industry.

You'll seek out potential new members with a view to growing the membership significantly in the next 12 months. You'll facilitate meetings, extol the virtues of the Council and their members, and be a genuine ambassador for the Critical Minerals and Battery industry.

In summary, your key responsibilities:

- Membership Growth: Actively expand the Council's membership base.
- Representation: Be the face of the Council, advocating collective interests.
- Event Coordination: Organise and lead networking events.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Connect with CEOs of leading companies in the field.
- Interact with government bodies.
- Build relationships with suppliers, consultants, and government departments.
- Industry Leadership: You'll position yourself at the forefront of this evolving industry.
- Membership Expansion: Aim for substantial growth in the Council's membership within the next 12 months.

**_Who You Are:_**

Given the nature of the role we're being specific around the type of person that is required for this role.

You will have an in-depth understanding of how Government works, and you'll most likely have worked directly in these Departments. You'll have the ability to develop and leverage your connections in this space to pull people together and showcase the Council. You'll always act with integrity, remain impartial, and bring a sense of calmness to a fast-growing industry. You'll be capable of bringing the battery community together and arranging meetings and facilitating networking opportunities.

You'll be a seasoned individual who can manage multiple stakeholders, someone who remains calm, and someone who recognizes the value of deep relationships.
