The Role
As our in-house Editor you will have a sharp eye, keen attention to detail, fast hands, and a creative mind. We are after someone that genuinely loves editing — not just the technical process, but the art of shaping tone and story. This role is about more than cutting clips or retouching images; it's about bringing a brand's visual language to life across stills and motion.
You'll work closely with our creative team — including photographers, videographers, producers, and designers — to shape content that is visually striking and always on-brand.
Responsibilities include...
* Video editing for a range of formats — from short-form social edits to longer-form campaign films including story structure, sound design, colour grading and integrating subtitles/brand collateral.
* Editing and retouching stills for campaigns, social content, and brand deliverables including colour grading, retouching, resizing and exporting for multiple platforms and placements.
* Creative Collaboration: Work closely with our creative team, project managers, and clients to understand their vision and deliver videos.
* Maintaining visual consistency across all content — still and motion — ensuring everything aligns with the brand's tone, mood, and aesthetic.
* Managing and organising media (file prep, naming conventions, exports, delivery)
* Stay on top of tools and editing trends: Continuously innovate and stay ahead of emerging video trends, tools, and techniques to ensure our content remains fresh and engaging.
* Working on multiple projects at a time, ensuring that we are meeting deadlines.
* Working with our designers and animators for optimal results.
Requirements
* Video & Stills Editing: Confident working across multiple programs;
* Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Final Cut and CapCut (must be fluent)
* Experience using Capture One
* DaVinci Resolve (bonus points for colour grading capabilities)
* Sound editing basics
* Commercial Experience: Prior experience in working within the commercial space.
* Creative Vision: Ability to think conceptually and creatively to bring ideas to life, while adhering to client brand guidelines and objectives.
* Strong Storytelling Skills: A keen eye for visual storytelling and the ability to convey compelling narratives through video.
* Attention to Detail: Precision in video and stills editing, colour grading, and sound design to ensure the highest quality in every project.
* Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with directors, producers, and other creatives in a fast-paced environment.
* Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain organisation in a fast-paced work environment.
* Adaptability: Flexibility to work across a variety of styles, formats, and industries based on client needs and project requirements. You will also be required to work out of hours/on weekends at times.
* Hybrid Working: You would be required to be in our Collingwood Studio 2x days per week (unless editing on location).
