The role
In this pivotal role, you will be working closely and strategically with the CFO and Group General Counsel. You will be leading the management of operational and regulatory compliance as well as risk objectives for the Cox Automotive Australia group. This includes developing and executing the compliance strategy, assessing compliance risks, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, managing licencing requirements, compliance auditing and training and partnering with the Risk Subcommittee to assess and develop the ERM program.
This role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills and will be a vital team member for both the compliance and risk programs.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) policy and other elements of the ERM framework
* Design and implement processes, policies, and procedures for managing risk
* Actively manage the risk register and showcase comprehensive risk reports to the Risk Committee and ELT
* Identify, assess, and manage the compliance obligations and regulatory obligations of the business
* Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls
* Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for senior leadership
* Provide licencing compliance support (e.g. motor vehicle licences, auctioneer licences)
* Manage a comprehensive register of compliance obligations
Skills & Experience:
* Relevant tertiary experience in compliance and risk related field
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including operational compliance to legislation and regulations
* Ability to effectively implement compliance processes and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls
* Experience in successfully managing change
* Ability to work autonomously with meticulous attention to detail
* Experience in successfully managing change
* Legal or paralegal experience will be highly regarded
