Role Overview
The Tasmanian Health Service seeks qualified applicants for a Unaccredited Registrar position in Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT). The Royal Hobart Hospital serves as the tertiary referral hospital and principal teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania Medical School.
The department involves consultants and junior staff in managing outpatient clinics and theatre sessions. It is supported by audiology and speech pathology departments.
Candidates will work closely with other departments to provide combined care for complex cases.
We offer well-equipped outpatient clinics and theatres with dedicated administrative support.
This is a full-time fixed-term role, effective 2 February 2026 until 1 February 2027 (24 months negotiable).
Responsibilities
* To manage private and public inpatients and outpatients within allocated sites/facilities.
* Provide after-hours emergency care as determined by relevant work units.
Required skills include general or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia and current Working with Children Registration (where applicable).
Requirements
* Demonstrated ENT experience at a Senior RMO or Registrar level.
* A current CV, statement addressing selection criteria, and qualifications must be submitted.
