Position Summary
McDonald's Alice Springs is seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchenhand to support our busy fast-food kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards in a high-volume, team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and an interest in progressing within the hospitality industry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist in preparing and assembling menu items according to company standards.
· Operate commercial kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and toasters safely and efficiently.
· Wash and sanitise utensils, trays, and equipment following hygiene protocols.
· Clean kitchen areas, including benches, floors, and waste stations.
· Unpack and store deliveries using correct rotation methods (FIFO).
· Support crew members during busy trading periods.
· Adhere to food safety and workplace health and safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
· No formal qualifications required; full training provided.
· Previous experience in a fast-food or commercial kitchen desirable.
· Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety preferred.
· Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.
· Physically fit and comfortable with standing for long periods.
· Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
