Classification: ANU Officer 4 (Administration)
Salary package: $79,314 - $85,809 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full-time, Fixed term (3-Months)
The Position
This role supports the Contracts Manager in managing the university's preferred supplier arrangements and contract management systems. Key responsibilities include providing operational advice, resolving issues, coordinating contracts management communications, and performing administrative duties related to contracts management. The role also involves secretariat duties for contract meetings, managing online portals, and ensuring compliance with university policies. Data analysis skills are highly preferable, particularly for improving contract management processes and supporting informed decision-making.
The Person
An ideal candidate is a well-organised and proactive individual with:
* Experience in contract administration, or supplier management
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Attention to detail and ability to manage operational tasks independently
* Proficiency in data analysis
* Familiarity with contract management systems and online communication portals or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital platforms
* A collaborative mindset focused on enhancing operational efficiency, improving contract management practices, and maintaining a strong commitment to compliance and continuous improvement.
The Department- UPCO
UPCO is responsible for overseeing procurement and contract management across ANU. This includes developing policies and procedures, managing university-wide procurement and contracts, and providing tender guidance. UPCO reviews exemption requests, owns related systems, and delivers reporting and analysis on spend. It also offers training, drives commercial efficiencies, and manages travel services—covering both procurement of travel content and internal support.
The Division- F&BS
Finance and Business Services (F&BS) supports the University's strategic and operational goals by providing professional corporate financial management, administration, reporting and business services. Its core responsibilities are finance transactions, procurements and contracts, capital and commercial advisory, investment management, financial planning, analysis and reporting, taxation, insurance and research finance advisory.
