About the Roles: We are currently recruiting multiple opportunities across major Tier 1 data centre projects in Melbourne. These positions offer the opportunity to work within highly secure, mission-critical environments delivering complex communications infrastructure. These are not standard commercial cabling projects. Successful candidates will ideally have experience working within live or critical environments where quality, compliance, documentation and precision execution are essential. Whether leading teams or delivering hands-on installation works, you will play a key role across technically advanced projects with strong long-term career growth. Site Supervisor Tasks & Responsibilities Lead and supervise site teams across Tier 1 data centre and critical infrastructure projects Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, materials and project resources Manage project schedules and maintain delivery milestones Read and interpret construction drawings, fibre layouts and technical documentation Oversee structured cabling and fibre installation activities to specification Monitor productivity, QA/QC standards and site performance Drive WHS compliance and safe work practices across all project stages Liaise with clients, builders and project stakeholders, providing regular updates Support commissioning, defect management and project handover activities Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a Site Supervisor role within data centres, telecommunications, structured cabling or critical environments Exposure to Tier 1 / hyperscale / enterprise data centre projects highly regarded Experience managing live environments and multiple work fronts Strong understanding of QA processes, documentation and delivery standards Ability to interpret technical drawings and coordinate installation activities Fibre Technician Tasks & Responsibilities: Fusion splice singlemode and multimode fibre Conduct OTDR, IL and fibre certification testing Install and terminate pre-terminated and structured fibre systems Complete fibre fault finding, remediation and commissioning activities Rack build, patching, cable management and labelling Interpret fibre schematics, layouts and project documentation Work safely within live data hall and secure environments Complete installation works to strict QA and handover requirements Data Cabling Technician Tasks & Responsibilities: Install and terminate Cat6 / Cat6A structured cabling systems Complete copper testing and certification using Fluke equipment Install pathways, cabinets, patch panels and rack infrastructure Perform troubleshooting and remediation works Rack dressing, patching and structured cable management Read and interpret cabling drawings and technical documentation Deliver works within live and secure data centre environments Maintain installation quality and project documentation standards Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Fibre Technician or Data Cabling Technician Strong fibre splicing, testing and structured cabling capability Experience working to strict QA and installation standards Exposure to live, secure or critical environments highly regarded Tier 1 data centre project experience highly desirable High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously or within a team Required Tickets/Licences: ACMA Open Cabling Licence (Structured Cabling endorsement preferred) White Card Current Driver's Licence EWP (highly regarded) Working at Heights (desirable) Ability to obtain NV1 Security Clearance Benefits & Perks: Competitive salary packages based on experience Ongoing, long-term Tier 1 project pipeline Career progression and development opportunities Work on high-profile data centre projects Supportive team environment with strong safety culture PPE and uniforms provided About the Company: Our client is a well-established and highly regarded provider of data and communications infrastructure solutions, delivering projects across Australia and New Zealand.
