Our client is a large, high-profile Federal Government Department who are at the forefront of promoting and protecting Australia's international interests. They are currently seeking a Site Security Manager to lead the construction security and site observation program on projects overseas.
Your new role
* Coordinate site security setup in consultation with contractors and government stakeholders.
* Interpret project schedules to effectively assign and deploy Site Security Observers.
* Ensure compliance with the Project Construction Security Plan and Department policy
* Lead the day-to-day operations of Site Security Observers, promoting a culture of integrity and vigilance.
* Deliver detailed reporting to senior management
* Provide on-the-job training and oversight to enhance team capability.
* Operate and manage technical security equipment as required.
* Audit and document construction activities to meet certification and accreditation standards.
* Provide expert guidance on physical and technical security in a high-stakes construction environment.
* Lead and collaborate effectively under limited supervision, supporting team and project goals.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven expertise in construction security management with strong knowledge of ASIO technical notes, PSPF, ISM, DSF and Zoned Security standards
* Demonstrated the ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems including CCTV, EACS, and alarms, with adaptability to mitigation strategies.
* Strong leadership, team development, and operational training experience.
* Sound judgment and comprehensive understanding of physical and construction security principles and documentation.
* Skilled in identifying, reporting, and managing security incidents and responses.
* Track record of building effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to drive security outcomes.
* Exceptional communication across all organisational levels.
* Ability to travel
* You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 Security Clearance.

* Crystalline Silica exposure Prevention
