Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Chemist to support our specialty gas production through safe and efficient processing, filling, and quality control.
* This role involves preparing and filling specialty gas mixtures, analyzing products using various analytical instruments, and supervising lab technicians in filling critical gas mixtures.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, minimum 2 years' experience working with a gas cylinder business, and strong computer skills. They will also possess excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and be disciplined, diligent, and committed to high standards of quality and safety.
About the Role
As a Chemist at our organization, you will play a crucial role in Spec Gas Operations. You will report to the Manager of Specialty Gases & Quality Control and be responsible for ensuring compliance with all quality standards, GMP, and NATA guidelines.
You will also support internal and external audits, conduct stock take activities, and maintain good housekeeping practices. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (or within 12 months of completion)
* Minimum 2 years' experience working with a gas cylinder business
* At least 12 months' laboratory experience
* Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Access, Navision, email)
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
* Disciplined, diligent, and committed to high standards of quality and safety
