Your New Role
As Development Manager, you will lead renewable energy projects from early stage concept through to investment approval and handover to delivery. You will manage all aspects of project development including site identification, feasibility, environmental assessments, planning approvals, grid connections, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage projects through all stages of development from concept to financial close
* Conduct feasibility studies, due diligence, and risk assessments to support investment decisions
* Coordinate planning approvals and environmental permitting processes
* Liaise with network service providers, regulators, and planning authorities on grid connections
* Collaborate with internal teams across engineering, finance, legal, and delivery
* Build and maintain relationships with landowners, councils, and community stakeholders
* Manage budgets, forecasts, and business cases to ensure strategic and commercial alignment
Your Experience
* 5 to 8 years of experience in renewable energy or infrastructure project development
* Strong understanding of environmental and planning frameworks, and grid connection processes
* Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary development activities to investment readiness
* Strong commercial acumen and familiarity with project finance metrics such as IRR and NPV
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills
* A proactive, outcome-driven mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
