'Culturally Responsive Care Specialist' In this role, you will be responsible for providing culturally responsive care to Aboriginal consumers and their families. This includes working in the hospital setting and within the community to plan and implement admission, treatment, case management, referral, discharge and follow up for Aboriginal people utilising mental health services. You will also support the consumer, the family and health service staff in accessing other services relevant to the needs of the person being supported. A key aspect of this role is ensuring that Aboriginal consumers and their families receive a respectful and culturally appropriate service. This requires a deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and social and emotional wellbeing. You will need to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills and a current NSW driver's licence ( P2 acceptable ). You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that all consumers receive high-quality care. Your ability to prioritise your workload and plan accordingly will be essential in this role.
