This is a progressive role as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Salary rate shown reflects both classification ranges.

Responsibilities
* Prepare, distribute and set up demonstrations and class sets of equipment and associated scientific materials for practical teaching laboratory use
* Work collaboratively with other science technicians
* Assist science teachers and other laboratory staff during science experiments
* Manage chemicals in the science department, including making up solutions of known concentrations from bulk supplies
* Working independently in a science laboratory
