About the role
As Procurement Manager, you will provide procurement expertise and leadership across all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, with a specific focus on Plan and Source stages, category strategy development, and sourcing execution. You'll work across a variety of client and category group allocations, partnering closely with business stakeholders to deliver value‐for‐money outcomes aligned with the client's policy and frameworks.
What you'll do
* Develop and execute complex category strategies and sourcing activities, considering risk, value for money and business needs
* Lead end‐to‐end RFx processes including tenders, evaluations, supplier negotiations, contract development and execution
* Act as a trusted Business Partner, providing strategic procurement advice on pipeline, demand management, supplier engagement and acquisition strategy
* Conduct market trends and innovation analysis to inform category and procurement strategies
* Lead, mentor and develop direct reports and cross‐functional team members through practical, on‐the‐job support
* Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks to protect organisational interests and maximise commercial opportunities
* Maintain procurement records and generate compliance reports in line with agency and government requirements
What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience managing and delivering procurement and category management.
* Strong knowledge of Procurement Framework
* Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and influence at a senior level in politically and commercially sensitive environments
* Excellent analytical, problem‐solving and communication skills
* Leadership experience including coaching and developing team members
