Healthcare Assistant Position Available

Glen Innes District Hospital seeks skilled and compassionate healthcare assistants to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional person-centred care to patients within the hospital under the guidance of registered nurses (RNs).

As a dedicated healthcare assistant, you will gain valuable experience across both our emergency department and general ward. Your role will involve providing high-quality patient care, supporting RNs with daily tasks, and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

* Provide patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
* Assist RNs with daily tasks, including vital sign checks and medication administration
* Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes


Requirements:

* Certificate III in Assistant Nursing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree
* Current First Aid Certificate and CPR skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
