About the Opportunity

In this role, you will provide strengths‐based, culturally safe mental health support, mentoring and care coordination to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people, many of whom experience barriers engaging with traditional services.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support young people and their families through flexible, youth‐friendly, and outreach‐based approaches. You will play a key role in reducing stigma, strengthening engagement, and improving access to mental health care for young people across Katherine and surrounding communities.

Note: This is a part time position (3 days per week).

Qualifications and Experience

* Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with strong community connections
* Certificate IV in Mental Health (or equivalent) or relevant experience in youth, health, education or community services
* Demonstrated ability to engage meaningfully with Aboriginal young people and families
* Experience (or strong interest) in outreach, care coordination and mental health support
* Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A hopeful, flexible, and solutions‐focused approach
