Your New Role
As the Assistant Director of Nursing – Medical Device Reprocessing Lead, you will provide strategic and professional nursing leadership to ensure safe, compliant and contemporary medical device reprocessing practices across Metro South Health. You will:
* Lead the implementation, governance and continuous monitoring of AS5369 and the TGA Unique Device Identification (UDI) system across multiple services and sites
* Provide expert clinical governance advice, risk mitigation strategies and operational leadership to support patient safety and organisational compliance
* Partner with executive leaders, clinical directorates and multidisciplinary stakeholders to embed best practice, standardisation and quality assurance across diverse clinical environments
* Drive system-wide improvement through data analysis, education, change management and evidence-based innovation aligned with Metro South Health's strategic priorities
About you:
You Are a Highly Credible Nursing Leader With Strong Clinical Governance Expertise And The Ability To Influence, Lead And Deliver Complex System-wide Change. The Credentials You Require Include
* Registered Nurse with current NMBA registration, supported by extensive senior nursing leadership experience in complex healthcare environments
* Demonstrated expert knowledge of medical device reprocessing, AS5369 compliance, infection prevention and/or regulatory frameworks, with the ability to translate standards into operational practice
* Proven ability to collaborate with executives, clinicians and corporate stakeholders, using strong communication, negotiation and change leadership skills
* Strategic thinker with advanced capability in data analysis, quality improvement, risk management and embedding sustainable governance frameworks
