A key component of this commitment is the University's Core Curriculum, which brings students from all schools together to explore the concepts of ethics, philosophy and theology.
About the role
The School of Philosophy and Theology seeks a theologian who possesses expertise in a fundamental aspect of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. The role is situated on the Fremantlecampus and will report to the Head of School.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach tutorials, practicals, and lectures, and help develop course materials.
* Supervise honours and postgraduate students with their studies and research.
* Mark and assess student work,and consult with students as needed.
* Attend meetings and take part in committee activities.
* Handle administrative tasks related to your subjects.
* Follow university policies and complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, skills & experience
* Hold a PhDin Philosophy orTheologyin the Catholic Tradition.
* Preferably, holder of a Doctor of Sacred Theology (STD) and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (desirable).
* A level B Academic Staff Member will have qualifications and/or experience recognised by the institution as appropriate for the relevant discipline area of Theology.
* Have expertise and experience in teaching and researching in Sacramental Theology and/ or Moral Theology.
* Proficient in the coordination of core curriculum units.
* Significant experience in tertiary education setting.
* Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
