**Caboolture Location**

Caboolture, a vibrant suburban town located in Queensland, Australia, offers a unique blend of natural beauty, community spirit, and modern amenities. Situated approximately 44 kilometres north of Brisbane, Caboolture serves as a gateway to the stunning Sunshine Coast and the picturesque Moreton Bay region.

**About the role**

As the Fostering Team Leader, you will lead and support a team of Case Workers and be responsible for overseeing carer recruitment. You will monitor the quality of care being provided to children and young people living in family-based placements.

The team will look upon you as the go-to person for coordinating and overseeing the referral and matching processes, care planning activities and the provision of ongoing support, monitoring and supervision.

Your days will be varied; however, your core duties will include:

- Planning, delivery and review of strategies that address children and young people's care and developmental needs across all the life domains;
- Managing all aspects of the workforce within your area of responsibility;
- Ensuring associated legislative and external reporting requirements are met.

You will be a part of a team of heartfelt practitioners who aim to give children and young people a positive journey through care.

**About you**

You are passionate about the welfare of children and achieving the absolute best outcomes for them.

As a deadline focused individual, you are capable of delivering results with ease. You are a charismatic leader with the proven ability to mentor your team members to overcome organisational hurdles and achieve shared goals.

With excellent communication skills, you are capable of liaising comfortably with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You have a comprehensive knowledge of legislative and service requirements and effortlessly promote a culture of compliance.

To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:

- A recognised qualification (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Social/Behavioural Sciences or related discipline;
- Solid experience in leading a multidisciplinary team in a child protection context;
- Applied knowledge and understanding of child protection and out-of-home care frameworks;
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of care services to children and young people in statutory care;
- Practical knowledge of financial management systems and budgeting.
