Key Responsibilities
* Planning menus, working out food and labour costs, and arranging the purchase of supplies.
* Making sure the kitchen stays stocked while keeping expenses under control.
* Checking the quality of dishes at every stage, from preparation to final presentation. Ensuring food looks and tastes great before it reaches the customer.
* Talking with managers, dietitians, and both kitchen and serving staff about food preparation.
* Addressing any issues and making sure everyone is on the same page.
* Showing staff proper cooking techniques and giving guidance on procedures.
* Helping the team improve their skills and maintain consistency.
* Preparing and cooking meals with care and attention to detail.
* Making sure each dish meets the set standards.
* Explaining hygiene rules clearly and ensuring they are followed.
* Keeping the kitchen safe and compliant with health regulations.
* Taking part in selecting and training new staff members.
* Building a capable and well-prepared kitchen team.
* Freezing, storing, and preserving food when required.
* Ensuring ingredients stay fresh and usable for longer.
Qualifications
* Must hold a minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management
* Also, holding a Diploma of Hospitality Management Qualification will be an advantage.

* Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen management practices
