Proserpine Nursing Home – established in 1986 by the local community is a Not-For-Profit Home with 103 resident beds. We are devoted to creating a warm and friendly environment where staff and residents alike share a strong sense of family.

You will work with your colleagues to develop and deliver person-centered care that focuses on healthy and active ageing, maximizing quality of life for each and every resident.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Providing contemporary clinical support, within the RN Scope of Practice, as part of the holistic care of care recipients.
- Liaison with Doctors, other health care professionals and participation in the case management of individual care recipients.
- Supervision of personal care staff to ensure current practice and care provided according to the values of Proserpine Nursing Home.
- Undertaking assessments and developing Care Plans that are current, evidence based, and reflect the actual needs of care recipients.
- Active participation in the AN-ACC process to ensure AN-ACC accurately reflects care recipient's needs.
- Reporting to ensure continuous improvement.
About You:
- Ability to ensure the delivery of clinical care within an evidence-based framework.
- Demonstrated ability to identify care recipient’s needs, alter care in response to identified needs and to evaluate outcomes.
- Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restriction.
- Flexibility to work within a clinical roster environment.
Employment Prerequisites:
- A current Police Check that does not preclude working in Aged Care.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza
