Job Description

What's the role

The role is based offshore on the Prelude FLNG facility, stationed northeast of Broome, Western Australia, in Australian Commonwealth waters. The Prelude FLNG operation comprises sub‐sea wells tied back to an FLNG facility encompassing gas processing and liquefaction through to LNG/LPG/Condensate storage and offloading, along with the requisite supporting marine and utilities facilities.

As Service Operations Technician, you will be responsible for the safe execution of the facility's services operations (including material handling evolutions).

What you'll be doing

* Promote a positive approach to HSSE in all aspects of operational activities by demonstration of personal commitment to HSE through the application of safety critical behaviours and leadership.
* Undertake emergency response activities as part of a rescue team.
* Support the upkeep of equipment via the planned maintenance system (SAP).
* Undertake operations including rigging, scaffolding, lifting, dogman operations, rope access work, helicopter landing officer / assistant / refueling, and confined space entry as required.
* Plan, develop and prepare comprehensive lifting, scaffolding and rescue plans to support operations.
* Support the execution of the services‐related implementation plans (Off‐take operations, berthing and mooring, helicopter operations, logistics, living quarters).
* Execute pre‐arrival and post‐departure operations for off‐take tankers (and support craft) which may include mooring operations, fender, hawser and hose deployment and recovery, personnel transfer.
* Assist in the loading, receipt, stowage and discharge of dangerous goods by sea and by air. Conduct lifting operations (where competent to do so).
* Participate in the in‐house services‐related maintenance plan, which may include amongst other items: inspection and maintenance of life saving appliances, portable firefighting equipment, lifting equipment, helicopter operations assets, work at height equipment, fabric maintenance, tank inspections, aspects of mooring and off‐take equipment and support of maintenance department activities.
* Contribute to ongoing Security on Prelude as required by the facility security manual. Assist with all types of emergency response on board Prelude, including lifeboat coxswain as required.
* Developing work permits and JHAs.

What you bring

* Significant years of experience / license in scaffolding erection/dismantling, rigging & slinging, Heli‐Deck Operations, loading & bunkering activities in a storage / loading or terminal operation, preferably in an offshore environment.
* Experience on offshore support vessels / construction vessels / rigs considered favourably
* Ability to obtain and maintain an MSIC & FOET card
* Ability to communicate clearly
