Right at Home SNSW provides high quality in-home care and assistance to our valued clients in the Riverina and Central West. We support people living with Alzheimer's, dementia and cognitive decline, disabilities, post-operative care needs and older Australians. About the role
We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
Responsibilities will include:
* Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
* Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties
* Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
* Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
* Preparing food, feeding clients and administering medications
* Observing, caring and reporting any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
* Responding to emergency situations
* Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered
Qualifications
* Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
* Current National Police Check
* Current First Aid & CPR certificates
* Endorsed to administer medication (desirable)
