This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to join our Engineering team in Adelaide. The role involves leveraging previous management experience to develop and support a dedicated workshop and fostering a strong safety culture.
As the Workshop Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing a dedicated workshop supporting Explosive Ordnance Projects
2. Leading the implementation of the onsite Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tool
3. Managing servicing and calibration of technical equipment within the workshop
4. Driving a safety culture within the customer site to ensure WHS compliance among all workshop users
5. Providing technical input to support user requirements
6. Developing or maintaining documentation such as Work Orders, Work Instructions, SOPs, Risk Assessments, and Equipment maintenance procedures
7. Potentially supporting customer training and competency management
To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have experience in:
1. Significant manufacturing or production experience leading safety-critical technical operations
2. Certificate IV in WH&S (preferred)
3. Substantial hands-on and supervisory experience in a multi-discipline workshop environment
4. Experience leading teams within technical quality management frameworks
5. The ability to engage positively with teams and stakeholders
