Rural Northwest Health in seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Yarriambiack Lodge residential aged care facility at our Warracknabeal campus. Leading by example with well-developed professional, clinical and people management skills, the Nurse Unit Manager will ensure the care team provides safe and high-quality clinical care to residents in line with key guidelines and frameworks relevant to an aged care setting.
The successful candidate will have:
* Relevant post-graduate training or education in aged care or acute medical nursing
* Relevant post-graduate education in leadership and management, or plans to undertake
* Demonstrated competence in leading and managing a team to deliver services that ensures safe, person-centered care
* Knowledge of key guidelines and frameworks relevant to the role including, but not limited to, Safe Patient Care Act, Code Grey requirements, and Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards
* Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
* Demonstrated ability to develop and manage rosters and workforce needs
* Adaptability to competing demands
* Current Police Clearance, Working with Children Check and NDIS Check, or willingness to obtain
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
