Head Chef- distillery cellar door
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen at KILLIK Handcrafted Rum. Our venue combines a modern Australian menu with house-made pasta, bold flavours, and our range of handcrafted rum, gin and cocktails.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and takes pride in building a kitchen team that delivers consistently excellent food.
What You'll Do:
• Lead and inspire the kitchen team, setting high standards for consistency, quality, and presentation.
• Design and execute seasonal menus with a strong focus on pasta and modern Australian cuisine.
• Manage ordering, stock control, and prep systems efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen that meets all health & safety requirements.
• Work closely with the owners to develop new dishes and menu concepts.
What We're Looking For:
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up.
• Strong background in modern Australian cuisine, with confidence in pasta.
• A hands-on leader who can train and motivate the team.
• Organised, creative, and calm under pressure.
• Passionate about food, seasonal produce, and innovation.
