Our company was established in 2006, we've been serving the beaches for over 19 years and still going strong. Tasks & responsibilities
* Cutting meat from bones, trimming fat from meat.
* Mincing meat and shaping into different products.
* Operating a sausage machine.
* Preparing cuts of meat, either for display or on request.
* Crumbing, seasoning, marinating, smoking and curing meat.
* Producing smallgoods from specially prepared and selected cuts of meat.
* Giving advice on preparation and cooking to customers.
* Budgeting, stock control and taking orders.
* Cleaning of the facility at the end of the day.
* Butchery requires knowledge of the various cuts made from different kinds of meat and excellent knife skills to expertly cut it into desired sizes for customers or restaurants.
* An experienced butcher will know how long each cut needs to cook for optimal flavour and texture, as well as expertise with tools like band saws or grinders, to break down whole carcasses quickly. If you seek challenges throughout your working day, being a butcher could meet those needs.
* Butchering is a great career choice if you enjoy working with your hands and have an interest in the food industry.
