Randstad has partnered with Hansen Yuncken to find a dedicated Project Engineer to join the team on an exciting new Data Centre project in Launceston. This role is essential for ensuring operational excellence and commercial success on a high value build.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be a key driver in delivering a project that meets and exceeds commercial, contractual, and quality requirements. This is a chance to join a company with a 100 year legacy of building iconic projects through technical innovation and design excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
* HSE Leadership: Contribute to the highest health and safety standards and promote the Safety First culture across the site.
* Commercial Acumen: Assist in maintaining a cash-positive position and justifying project expenses while developing a deep understanding of Head Contract and Subcontract terms.
* Project Programming: Collate inputs from the site team to provide accurate program updates and ensure milestones are met within contractual timeframes.
* Quality Management: Implement management systems to strive for a defect-free completion and ensure all Quality Assurance (QA) reports are meticulously prepared.
* Subcontractor Management: Coordinate scopes of work and deliver audits and performance reviews to ensure high-quality, safe, and on-time outcomes.
About You
* You will have previous experience working on data centres or have been involved with large scale projects that have been valued at $200 million dollars or greater
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
* Proven experience in a Project Engineer role within the construction industry
* Strong ability to review construction documentation to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
* A track record of meeting daily and weekly work targets through effective resource management
