Job Description
* Review incoming referrals to ensure all demographic, clinical, and diagnostic information is complete and accurately documented.
* Verify that each referral is directed to the appropriate GP, physiotherapist, specialist, or allied health provider based on the patient's clinical needs.
* Identify and correct inconsistencies such as outdated provider details, missing clinical context, or incomplete patient information.
* Ensure referrals are formatted, updated, and finalised in line with clinical communication standards before distribution.
* Process and transmit the completed referrals through the clinic's practice management system to support timely continuity of care.
* Maintain accuracy, clinical relevance, and confidentiality in all outgoing correspondence.
The Successful Applicant
* Proven experience in transcription, ideally within the healthcare industry.
* Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and formatting requirements.
* Proficiency in using transcription software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
