This is a full-time, two-year fixed-term opportunity based in Bendigo. The Project Support Officer is part of the Enterprise Investment Management (EIM) team within the Strategy Department. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Analyst, this role provides essential administrative, governance and coordination support across Coliban Water's enterprise-wide investment portfolio, valued at approximately $180+ million annually across capital, IT, business improvement and operational initiatives.
Working flexibly across projects, programs and portfolios, you will support the consistent application of Coliban Water's Enterprise Investment Governance Framework, ensuring documentation, reporting and governance standards are maintained to enable informed decision-making and strong portfolio performance.
You will collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers, Program Managers, Project Managers and delivery teams across the organisation, acting as a key enabler of effective investment governance and delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Project Support Officer - Strategy, you'll be accountable for:
Provide administrative and governance support across projects, programs and portfolios within the enterprise investment portfolio
Apply the Enterprise Investment Governance Framework consistently across assigned investments
Prepare and maintain investment documentation including business cases, gate review materials, reports, risk registers and financial tracking
Coordinate governance activities such as gate reviews, steering groups, portfolio reviews and committee meetings
Support stakeholder communication through preparation and distribution of governance materials and updates
Monitor investment risks, issues, actions, milestones and financials, escalating where required
Support portfolio-level reporting and performance monitoring
Champion effective use of Microsoft tools including Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Loop and OnePlan
Contribute to continuous improvement of EIM processes, tools and capability
About you:
You are organised, detail-oriented and enjoy working across multiple priorities in a collaborative environment. You bring:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience preparing clear correspondence, reports and documentation
Experience or strong interest in project, program or portfolio support roles
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and maintain high-quality records
An adaptable approach, working effectively across multiple projects while maintaining governance standards
Knowledge of governance frameworks and investment or project management practices is desirable but not essential.

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 3 $74,200 - $90,097 plus super salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience. This role is a full-time two year fixed term position.
