Education & Childcare Services Perth - Northern Suburbs & Joondalup. Permanent / Part Time role: Cook at Nido Padbury (Job No: ).
Responsibilities
- Prepare nutritious meals for young children in a childcare setting, supporting nutrition education and healthy eating habits.
- Contribute to a positive, hands-on learning environment and model good cooking practices.
- Conduct weekly stock takes and place orders to ensure appropriate food supplies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen (kitchen and food handling).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, early childhood regulations, policies, procedures, and work guidelines.
- Understand and accommodate allergens and dietary requirements for children.
- Cook for a large number of children and manage portion control and food safety.
Qualifications
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is required for this role.
- Valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience as a Cook in a childcare setting is required.
