High-quality specialist paediatric surgical services are required for a part-time vacancy in the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver advanced care to inpatient and ambulatory patients within the Royal Darwin Hospital, regional hospitals, and remote communities.
* Lead outreach services to Katherine and Gove hospitals.
* Conduct regular inpatient ward rounds and outpatient sessions, providing expert opinion to referring medical practitioners.
* Participate in continuous medical education, professional development, peer reviews, research, teaching, and quality improvement activities.
* Supervise junior medical and clinical staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Hold general or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Be a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent.
* Have relevant experience and training in paediatrics.
* Demonstrate research capability and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
* Share passion for rural, regional, and Aboriginal healthcare.
