Role Description
We are seeking a Mental Health Social Worker or Psychologist for a fulltime or part-time on-site role based in the Gold Coast Hinterland. (close to Oxenford and Nerang) Responsibilities include providing mental health support to children and families through evidence-based therapeutic interventions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining accurate and confidential client records. Additionally, the role involves assessing client needs, developing tailored treatment plans, and engaging with families to support children's emotional well-being.
A love of nature and animals is advantageous as we have a large outdoor/ creek area, horses cows and dogs to integrate into our therapy sessions.
Qualifications
* Professional qualifications as a Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker, with current registration and liability insurance.
* Competence in providing therapeutic interventions including play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed care.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
* Experience or interest in working within a multidisciplinary team and with children of diverse backgrounds.
* Organisational and time-management skills to manage caseloads and maintain documentation.
* Knowledge of the NDIS and its application in mental health services is advantageous.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification, Blue Card (or equivalent), and valid driver's license.
