Role Overview
As a Survey Technician, you'll be empowered with field-based surveying capabilities for design, construction, and engineering-based survey projects. You'll work both autonomously and collaboratively with field crews, draftspersons, and senior licensed surveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out field surveys meticulously to company standards and quality assurance systems
* Calculate and adapt field files for surveys, including onsite data processing
* Upload and download project files and data management
* Set out points, offsets, lines, marks, profiles, pins, and pegs including repair work
* Collect property data for contour and detail projects
* Maintain best practice survey data storage and file management
* Reduce and process survey data accurately
* Ensure compliance with company QA processes and industry guidelines
* Identify and escalate non-conformance issues requiring corrective action
* Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
* Support land development, construction, and engineering survey projects
Project Types:

What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
* Degree or diploma in Surveying
* 3+ years' experience in residential surveying.
* Strong technical skills with modern survey equipment and CAD software
* Valid Queensland driver's licence and full working rights in Australia
* General Construction Induction Card
* Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Clear communication skills and collaborative mindset
* Commitment to quality assurance and error-free deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
* Surveyors with SBQ Registration are preferred
* Background in development surveys
